Nada Shamah

I was born and raised on the Southside of Chicago. My career in journalism began when I was a senior in high school. I was a freelance reporter for a local newspaper, covering feature stories and local government and school board meetings.

During college, I became a full-time reporter. Having worked in print, television and radio, I became immersed in the world of reporting. I turned to legal documentary production the last few years, working with attorneys throughout the country in matters related to mitigation and settlement purposes.

I decided my passion was still in journalism. I made my way back into television reporting and am thrilled to call Cedar Rapids and KGAN my new home!
