February 2nd: West Liberty's Courtney Joens

WEST LIBERTY, Iowa – The West Liberty girls basketball team is looking to push for a state title with the help of an elite basketball family: the Joens family.

Courtney Joens is the oldest of the talented siblings, and is using her experience as a player at the University of Illinois and as a coach from her camp The Joens Basketball Academy to help take the Comets program to new heights. In addition, one of Courtney's younger sisters Kelsey transferred to West Liberty to play for her in Kelsey's senior season before playing at the next level for the Iowa State Cyclones.
