Cedar Rapids — Some Eastern Iowa residents posted online Thursday, complaining about snow plows damaging their property, mainly downed mailboxes.
It's sparking questions about who is liable for that damage as crews continue clear the roads from all the snow Thursday.
According to the City of Cedar Rapids' website, if a plow damages your mailbox you can get a reimbursement up to a maximum of $75.
Homeowners have to complete a claim form and provide a copy of the purchase receipt for replacement material, and submit it to the city's risk department.
