In its 12 years, Iowa Women Lead Change has built home grown leaders in part, due to their sold-out conferences that often feature nationally-renowned speakers. Now, they've developed a way to reach women who might not be able to get to their conferences, from those who live in rural Iowa, to those living across the globe.

The Ascent Leadership Program is a 12-month virtual classroom experience that includes one-on-one coaching from business professionals, small-group interactive discussions, and homework designed to help mid-level employees develop executive presence and emotional intelligence. The length of the program allows for accountability and measurable improvements.

IWLC's CEO, Tiffany O'Donnell, says the digital-first approach represents the organization's evolution.

"It is a classroom setting so interactive that you can break off into groups and go into a classroom with a partner at the click of the mouse," said O'Donnell. "It's extremely accessible, not a webinar, very interactive, and very intuitive."

Employers who've identified employees with big potential have already signed up to participate. Individuals can also take part. They even have someone signed up from the UK.
