VP Mike Pence tours Iowa aerospace company Rockwell Collins, speaks to employees
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (CBS2/FOX28) —
Vice President Mike Pence toured Rockwell Collins, bringing a message of economic growth to Cedar Rapids' largest employer.
Pence tested out a flight simulator, as well as an aircraft helmet with HUD built into it.
After introductions from Rep. Rod Blum and Gov. Kim Reynolds, Pence spokes about the qualifications of Judge Brett Kavanaugh's nomination to the U.S. Supreme Court. He then praised Reynolds and Blum, who are running for Governor and the U.S. House respectively in November.
The vice president also reported major progress in reforming NAFTA, and stressed the changes will help Iowa farmers amid a looming trade war with China.
