MARION, Iowa — The Uptown Marion Market season is kicking off on Saturday, June 10 from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. The market will be located at 7th Avenue in Uptown Marion.
Attendees can visit the forty local vendors featured as well as local restaurants and businesses.
Family-friendly activities will take place including Face Painting by Lindsay from 8 - 10 a.m., balloon artistry by The Balloon Buffoons from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., and performances by the steel drum band Pandelirium as well as the Heart of Marion Community Choir.
The Power of Produce (POP), in partnership with the Linn County Iowa State University Extension & Outreach, will return to the market this year with educational games and activities for kids to learn more about the local food system.
The Uptown Marion Market will resume on July 8, August 12, and September 30 from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. A Youth Entrepreneur Fair in the Uptown Artway will take place on August 12. Those under the age of 18 may apply with handcrafted items and applications will open June 15.
