University of Iowa puts on camp to educate about flooding
IOWA CITY, Iowa (CBS2/FOX28) —
The University of Iowa is putting a new spin on summer camps.
A group of middle schoolers are spending their summer vacations learning about flooding in eastern Iowa.
The camp started Monday with a tour of the UI's hydraulics model and wind tunnel. They are also learning about flood safety through virtual reality.
Organizers hope it inspires the campers to get interested in STEM fields.
