Approximately 2,500 people are without power in eastern Iowa.
Alliant Energy's outage map says 2,505 customers are without power as of 11:24 a.m. The hardest hit areas are in Poweshiek, Washington and Keokuk counties.
The wintry mix, combined with high winds is causing power lines to freeze over.
