Snow ends tonight, single digit wind chills

Predictor showing snow falling across eastern Iowa Tuesday night

Snow will continue to spread across eastern Iowa through the afternoon. Moderate to heavy snow will be possible at times and will begin to coat the grass and roads. Where it has been snowing for longer and is colder, snow will accumulate quickly in our far northern counties.

Slick travel will be possible during the evening commute. Snow will begin to wind down after midnight and then cold air settles in. Temperatures will drop into the teens by morning and winds will be kicking! With the fresh snow on the ground... that's a recipe for cold wind chills Wednesday morning.

There will be some sunshine tomorrow which will melt away some of the snow. Temperatures will be held in the 30s, though, in the afternoon.
