A second tornado was confirmed in Eastern Iowa on Monday.
The National Weather Service confirms an EF-Unknown tornado touched down in southeast Cedar Rapids Monday afternoon, amidst a rare spat of tornadic activity in Eastern Iowa.
This is only the second time tornadoes have been reported in Iowa during the month of January.
The last time was January 24th, 1967, when 13 tornadoes were reported in southeast Iowa.
The other confirmed tornado Monday afternoon touched down in Iowa County near Williamsburg.
The National Weather Service says it was an EF-1 tornado with estimated wind speeds of 90 miles an hour.
Officials say a semi was blown over while the tornado was in progress, but there haven't been many damage or injury reports.
