Robo-emails threaten fake bomb threat at local businesses, police say

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Robo-emails are hitting inboxes around the country, including at least four businesses in Cedar Rapids, sharing false information about a bomb threat.

According to police, the emails are not credible or authentic and may be trying to rip off businesses out of money.

CRPD said other businesses in surrounding counties may also be getting the email.
