Cedar Rapids Police search for driver of Hit and Run accident, officer dragged
CEDAR RAPIDS, Ia (CBS2/FOX28) —
Cedar Rapids police are searching for the driver of a Hit and Run accident that injured an officer.
According to police, an officer's car was parked behind another car that was to be towed on the 1200 block of Collins Road NE Saturday night around 11:30 p.m.
A vehicle then hit the squad car from behind. When the officer tried to make contact with the driver, they fled the scene dragging the officer.
The officer was treated for injuries that are not life threatening at a local hospital.
Police believe the driver is a white female driving a gold or brownish Nissan-type vehicle.
