No one hurt after early morning fire in Cedar Rapids


    Just before 5:15 Saturday morning, the Cedar Rapids fire department was called to a house fire on the Northwest side of town.

    When crews arrived at 245 21st NW, smoke was pouring out of the home, but everyone inside had got out safely.

    CRFD quickly brought an attic fire under control, they cut a hole in the roof of the home to assist with smoke evacuation.

    There is extensive damage to the home, those displaced are being helped by the red cross.
