CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (CBS2/Fox28) -- The coldest air of the season is moving into eastern Iowa tonight. Cold air coupled with some snow on the ground will send temperatures into the teens by Saturday morning.
Skies will clear, winds will die down and temperatures will tank to near record levels Saturday morning. If winds end up calming down a little earlier tonight temperatures may end up lower and some records could be tied.
On top of the already cold temperatures it will feel even colder. Wind chills will be near 0 degrees Saturday morning. Temperatures will then struggle to rise Saturday afternoon with high temperatures just near 30.
