More details released about car that went off Cedar Rapids bridge
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (CBS2/FOX28) —
Cedar Rapids Police have released more information about a car that plunged off of the Edgewood Road bridge Wednesday night.
CRPD says 19-year-old Jonisa Williams apparently lost control of her Chevy Cruze around 7:54 p.m. and ended up at the bottom of the ravine near the railroad tracks from Edgewood Road southbound ending up on the west side of the bridge.
Williams was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. A passenger, identified as 22--year-old Jeremiah Taylor was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. A second passenger, 33-year-old Setra Summerall, was not injured.
The crash is still under investigation.
