More active pattern unfolding this weekend
The weather pattern will be changing as we head through the beginning of November in eastern Iowa. This comes after a very calm end to October. In fact, Cedar Rapids only picked up 0.3" of rain during the last 20 days of the month. Now multiple systems will develop and move through the Upper Midwest over the next week.
There will be a few isolated showers Friday with a weak cold front moving through. Two stronger systems will move through over the weekend and into the start of next week. The highest chances for rain will be late Saturday through Sunday morning. A few thunderstorms may be possible with this system as well. There will be additional showers on Monday and Tuesday.
On top of the rain it will be cold, so it won't feel very pleasant outside when it is raining. Temperatures will be near and below normal through the next week, in the 40s and 50s.
