Man, dog hurt when car and motorcycle collide
LINN COUNTY, Iowa —
A man and a dog were hurt Monday night after a car and motorcycle collided.
The Linn County Sheriff's office says they were called to the intersection of Highway 13 and Highway 100 at about 5:55 p.m. for an accident. When they got there they found 61-year-old Mark Koehn, of Elkader, was going north bound on Highway 13 when he stopped at a red light. A Cadillac Escalade driven by 38-year-old Jennifer Burlage, of Delhi, failed to stop in time and hit the back of Koehn's motorcycle.
He was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A dog riding in his sidecar also had minor injuries and was taken to the Eastern Iowa Veterinary Specialty Center.
Burlage was not hurt. She was cited for failure to stop in assured clear distance.
