Local author celebrates new book, "100 Things To Do In Cedar Rapids Before You Die"

Cedar Rapids — The City of Five Seasons now has a list of experiences to make sure you enjoy in your life.

Wednesday night's launch party at Indian Creek celebrated the new book "100 Things To Do In Cedar Rapids Before You Die."

Local writer Katie Mills Giorgio penned the guide about her hometown.

She says she didn't really struggle finding triple digit "to-dos" in the city.

"The publisher is based in St. Louis, they do these books all over the country, so they reached out and wanted someone to write one about Cedar Rapids and I jumped at the chance," Mills Giorgio said. "People have asked 'was it hard to come up with 100 things?' But I knew, because I’ve been writing here so long, I have lived here as long, and love the city that there was definitely gonna be at least 100 things if not more."
