One growing Corridor school district is losing a leader as another adds them to their own growth.

The Linn-Mar Community School District has announced their selection of Solon High School principal Nathan Wear as the district's new associate superintendent.

According to a release from Tuesday morning, Wear's selection is expected to be approved by the Board of Education at their meeting on July 9.

“Linn-Mar is one of the premier school districts in the state of Iowa,” Wear said in the release. “I am looking forward to working collaboratively with the community, staff, parents and students to continue to grow the educational programs. It is evident that great teaching and learning is happening each and every day across the district.”

“We are ecstatic to be able to hire Nathan as our next associate superintendent,” LMCSD superintendent Shannon Bisgard added in the release. “Nathan was chosen from a very strong candidate pool due to his background as a building principal at both the elementary and the high school level. This unique variety of experiences, combined with his skill set as an instructional leader, make him the ideal choice for Linn-Mar. We are very excited to have Nathan join our leadership team.”
