A large fire broke out at Dobson Pipe Organ Builders in Lake City, Iowa, Tuesday afternoon.
State fire marshals say the fire was sparked at approximately 4:00 p.m. by a malfunctioning fan, causing sawdust to ignite and set the building ablaze.
The Graphic Advocate, a local newspaper in Lake City, reports one person, an employee, was injured trying to extinguish the flames.
Dobson is known well for their pipe organs, their work featured at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in Los Angeles, and at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia.
The University of Dubuque also features Dobson's work on campus, their new pipe organ in John and Alice Butler Hall was built and completed by Dobson on April 6 of this year.
