The Board of Supervisors extended the local public health disaster emergency until May 31, 2021.

This continuation of the disaster emergency also extends the date of the mask regulation for all of Johnson County in the state of Iowa.

The Board encourages everyone and every business to continue to implement mitigation measures to protect the community from illness. Mitigation measures are as follows:

  • Continue to wear a mask around others that do not live in the same household
  • Continue to limit persons participation in events and social gatherings where distancing can not be accomplished
  • Continue to wash your hands often and cover your cough
  • Continue practicing social distancing measures
