There aren't any more Iowa Hawkeye football games at Kinnick Stadium to do the Kinnick Wave, but love from across the state is still pouring in.

9-year-old Riley Lafrenz of Indianola is a big Hawkeye fan, and was so inspired by seeing the wave to the top floor of the UI Stead Family Children's Hospital, he donated his savings to the hospital.

In a note Riley wrote, "Hi! My name is Riley. The reason I sent the money is that when I watched a Hawkeye football game, I saw a kid that had cancer and I felt said, so now I realized that you need the money more than I do. From your friend, Riley."

His mom Missie says he was saving money for NFL trading cards, but realized that they need to money more that he does.

Thursday night, the Iowa football program receive the 2017 Disney Sports Spirit Award for launching the Kinnick Wave.
