How to help those affected by the Iowa derecho

Many people in and out of Iowa have been asking how they can help. There is a lot of cleanup, a lot of people without power, a lot of people in need of shelter and food.
People are in need of food due to lost power. People need help cleaning up their properties. Some people can't clean up because it's unsafe (trees on home, power lines on the property, etc).
Individual cities are looking for water and non-perishable foods if you can bring in donations.

- Volunteer and donate at 4001 1st Avenue SE in Cedar Rapids from 8 am to 7 pm

Drop off donations at Linn County Public Health
- Drop off donations at 4200 C Street SW in Cedar Rapids from 9 am to 3 pm
- In need of donations and drivers to deliver supplies

- HACAP will take food donations and has been hosting drives to hand out food to those in need.
- Volunteer or donate for their meals on wheels program
- United Way of East Central Iowa is looking for volunteers
- Accepting donations for food, shelter and cleanup efforts.
- Donate through GoFundMe as they're making meals for those impacted by the storm
- Iowa Strong shirt
- 100% of proceeds go to relief efforts
- Shirt sales by The Shop Forward will give proceeds to recovery efforts.
