Iowa research detecting wildfires before they rapidly grow

Drought conditions in Iowa are leading to an elevated threat of field fires this autumn. Meanwhile researchers at the University of Iowa are using new methods of fire detection and analysis using weather satellites to help firefighters decide where to place resources.
