Head on collision in Linn County Thursday sends two to the hospital
On Friday, March 4th, 2022 just at 1:23pmLinn County Sheriff’s Deputies along with Linn County Sheriff’s Rescue, Marion Fire Department, Area Ambulance Service, Marion Police Department, and Iowa State Patrol were called to an accident just north of the intersection of East Post Rd and Cottage Grove Avenue.
When they arrived crews say they found the northbound driver of a 2015 Jeep Cherokee had crossed the center line.
Crossing the center lined caused a head on collision with a southbound 2009 Buick Enclave.
The driver of the Jeep Cherokee was identified as 59 year old, Caroline McNall from Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
The driver of the Buick Enclave was identified as 41 year old, Jennifer Brunsman from Marion, Iowa.
Both drivers were transported to Mercy Hospital by Area Ambulance for what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.
This accident remains under investigation by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office.
