HIAWATHA, Iowa (CBS2/FOX28) — Gov. Kim Reynolds has signed a massive tax bill that her administration will lower taxes for Iowans.
The Iowa Senate passed the $2 billion plan in the last legislative session on a 28-20 party-line vote; the House followed suit hours later, approving the bill 54-32.
Under the law, which will take effect July 1, will lower income taxes by nearly $400 million in 2019. The law is projected to cut taxes by $2 billion by 2024.
