Icy conditions cause chain of crashes on I-380
A crash on Interstate 380 caused traffic trouble Tuesday morning for drivers heading southbound in the north part of Cedar Rapids.
By 6 a.m. I-380 southbound was closed while first responders work the scene. One lane reopened shortly after but traffic was backed up and moving slowly past the scene.
The Cedar Rapids Police Department told CBS2/Fox 28 that no injuries were reported.
According to the Iowa DOT website, the crash happened around 5:30 a.m. between Blairs Ferry Road and Collins Road exits.
The roadway was completely reopened by 7 a.m.
