Cedar Rapids Fire Department respond to brush fire near The Blind Pig

Cedar Rapids — The Cedar Rapids Fire Department (CRFD) responded to a brush fire near The Blind Pig on Thursday evening.

This comes just a couple of hours after firefighters responded to another fire at a nearby laundromat.

In a press release sent out by CRFD, it states firefighters arrived on scene at the 3300 block of Center Point Road Northeast at around 7:22 p.m.; the fire was behind The Blind Pig and Papa Murphy's restaurant buildings.

Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire with multiple hose lines, no buildings or vehicles were involved in the fire.

There were no injuries during the incident.
