Expansion projects positions Field of Dreams as sustainable economic engine

Baseball fans around the world are focused once again on Dyersville, Iowa as $140 million is getting pumped for two separate projects: a youth sports complex and a permanent stadium at the MLB diamond.

Jacque Rahe, Executive Director at Dyersville Economic Development Corporation, speaks with Iowa's News Now Reporter David Amelotti. She said the top priority of seeking private investment and expanding the Field of Dreams experience is to preserve the movie site for generations.

Keith Rahe is the President and CEO of Travel Dubuque. He told Iowa's News Now Reporter David Amelotti the $33 million in annual direct spending from the baseball/softball complex will be felt across the region.
