Dubuque man arrested in February fatal shooting death

28-year-old Terry J. Valrie of Dubuque, IA was arrested Thursday by the US Marshals Service in Rock Island County, Illinois for the February 7th, 2023 shooting death of 31-year-old Lonnie E. Burns of Dubuque.

Valrie has been charged with 1st-degree murder and 1st-degree robbery.

A total of five persons have now been charged in relation to this incident.

This investigation is still ongoing, and additional charges are possible.

Murder in the first degree is a class “A” felony punishable by life in prison.
