Teenage girl dies in collision with train

LINN COUNTY, Iowa (CBS2/FOX28) — The Linn County Sheriff's Office tells CBS2/FOX28 News they are investigating a deadly crash between a pedestrian and a train along tracks southeast of Cedar Rapids.

Authorities says the victim is a teenage girl and had been walking on the tracks when a west bound train hit her.

The teen was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim's name is not going to be released until the family is notified.
