CRPD: NE Cedar Rapids house fire was intentionally set

    Cedar Rapids Police say they are investigating another case of arson, the second such case in the same week.

    Police now saw the fire at 1639 Hollywood Boulevard NE on Friday was intentionally set. Two firefighters were injured while fighting the fire. No one was inside the home at the time, but the family's cat was found dead inside. A family of four is now displaced.

    Last week, an apartment building on Blairs Ferry Road was set on fire, displacing residents in seven units.
