CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (CBS2/FOX28) — The Cedar Rapids Fire Department had to put out a fire on the southwest side of town on Monday.
Crews received a call around 11:15 a.m. about smoke coming from a second story window at a vacant home on the 500-block of 9th St SW.
Firefighters found a small fire just inside the front door and quickly put it out. CRFD says that the home was foreclosed on in 2011.
There was only light damage done to the house. There's no determination yet of what caused the fire.
