NEW DETAILS: Outbuilding fire causes road closure, no injuries reported

An outbuilding fire in Marion caused part of County Home Road to temporarily close Sunday afternoon, according to a press release from the Linn County Sheriff's Office. Multiple emergency departments responded to the fire just after 2 p.m. Sunday in the 2300 block of County Home Road. County Home Road was closed from North 10th St. to Winslow Rd. for a short time because black smoke was going across the road. The road has reopened.

Linn County Sheriff's Deputies and Linn County Rescue 57 responded. As did the following fire departments: Marion, Monroe Township, Robins, Springville and Alburnett.

No injuries to people or animals occurred.

The Linn County Sheriffs office is currently responding to a fire at 2321 County Home Rd.

The incident has caused deputies to close County Home Rd. from N. 10th St. to Winslow Rd.
