Corridor City Most Expensive to Live
NEW YORK, NY (CBS2/FOX28) - Iowa City is the most expensive city to live in in the entire state.
24/7 WALL ST released a survey of expensive cities in each state.
They looked at things like housing, food, medical expenses and luxury items like and figured out where you'll be shelling out the most to live.
Despite having a higher cost of living Iowa City residents make less money than most Iowans with a median income of $52,220; about $1,600 less than the average statewide income per person.
Median rent in the area will also set residents back $799 a month.
If you're looking to downsize, the least expensive city to live in, according to the report, is less than 5 hours away in Danville, Illinois.
