CITA fire school gives first responder's training for worst care scenarios


A hot time at Kirkwood Community College Saturday as the CITA of Iowa held its 32nd annual fire school.

Firefighters and emergency responders from across the state were there to hone their skills at responding to a worst case scenario situation.

Iowa Firefighters are required to take a minimum of 24 hours of additional training each year.

Saturdays session happened in a specially built trailer on the Kirkwood campus.

Kirkwood started the fire school in 1986 and its grown to one of the largest in the state.
