Cedar Rapids Police release security video of Casey's incident after fireworks show

    Cedar Rapids Police hope that releasing security video of an incident at a NW Cedar Rapids Casey's General Store will lead to arrests.

    A CRPD spokesperson says about 25-40 went into the Casey's at Ellis and O Avenue NW at 10:23 p.m. on July 3, shortly after the fireworks at Ellis Harbor ended. CRPD says some customers were assaulted by suspects, while other suspects stole merchandise and damaged store property. The store had to close for the night as a result.

    Seven people were charged for various incidents surrounding the Ellis Harbor fireworks.
