GALENA, Illinois — A male juvenile has admitted to sending multiple students at Galena High School, according to the Galena Police Department.
Police say the messages, received by students on Instagram at around 8:49 p.m. Sunday, stated there would be a bomb at the school on Monday.
Investigators say the juvenile admitted to sending the threats but say at no time was the school or students in any immediate danger.
The suspect has not been identified.
Students in Dubuque, also received threatening messages Sunday night that forced the school to delay by 2 hours.
