Body found in Wapsipinicon River

BLACK HAWK COUNTY, Iowa (CBS2/FOX28) — The Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office is investigating whether the woman found in the Wapsi River Thrusday night is Rhonda Apfel.

Around 7:40 p.m. someone called 911 after finding the body of a woman in the Wapsi River near Cutshall Access.

While authorities are not confirming the body is Apfel, they had been conducting a search for her up river where her motorcycle was found.

Apfel has been missing since Memorial Day.
