AMBER Alert canceled; two kids found safe
TORONTO, Iowa —
Two young eastern Iowa children have now been reunited with their mother after their father, 27-year-old Taylor Milroy, drove off with them inside the vehicle Monday night, triggering an AMBER Alert.
The alert was sent out statewide just before 1 a.m. Tuesday.
The Clinton County Sheriff's Office says the mother reported to police that the she, Milroy, and the two boys had been grocery shopping Monday night.
As she was unloading the groceries from the vehicle, Milroy drove off with the two boys inside the car.
The mother indicated that Milroy recently had his parenting rights revoked and had previously made statements about harming everyone.
At 2:52 a.m., police officers in Moline, Illinois found the two boys and the father safe at an apartment complex, thus canceling the AMBER Alert.
The Clinton County Sheriff's Office is still investigating the case.
