Iowa City West maintains unbeaten streak en route to state

IOWA CITY, Iowa – Iowa City West return to the class 4A state tournament after a stellar performance, defeating Dubuque Senior 9-3 in the substate 5 final.

The Trojans won ten consecutive matches prior to their matchup with the Rams, and the team continued its success right after the kickoff. Iowa City West scored two goals in quick succession within the first five minutes, as the Trojans piled on four goals in a little over 20 minutes into the contest on their way to a comfortable 9-3 victory.
