Cedar Rapids heroin dealer who injured police officer sentenced to prison
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (CBS2/FOX28) —
A man who injured a Cedar Rapids police officer who was arresting hi has been sentenced to federal prison.
28-year-old Albert McReynolds will spend 20 months in federal prison.
A Cedar Rapids police officer received a concussion when he attempted to arrest McReynolds back in 2016. McReynolds admitted he intended to sell the heroin that he had on him. He also told police he would trade heroin to women for sex.
In addition to his 20 months in prison, he must also serve a 3-year-term of supervised release.
