NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Queen of country music Dolly Parton is paying tribute to the late Tina Turner.

Tina Turner, known as the Queen of Rock ‘n Roll, died at the age of 83 in her home near Zurich, Switzerland. She became a Swiss citizen a decade ago.
In 1974, Tina Turner covered Dolly Parton and Porter Wagoner’s song, “There’ll Always Be Music,” in her debut solo album titled Tina Turns the Country On!
Turner sold more than 150 million records worldwide, won 11 Grammys, and was voted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice -- the first time with her ex-husband and former bandmate Ike Turner in 1991, as well as on her own in 2021. Her life became the basis for a film, a Broadway musical and an HBO documentary in 2021 that she called her public farewell.
