Free COVID-19 testing rolling out in rural Iowa towns next week

MercyOne Iowa City is working with the Rural Health and Safety of Eastern Iowa are teaming up to offer free COVID-19 testing across eastern Iowa.

The goal is to help identify cases of the virus as the coronavirus continues to spread out of control in Iowa. A mobile clinic will be set up for anyone with symptoms of COVID-19 or think they might have been exposed to the virus to get a free check. The following dates are set for the free testing.

  • Tuesday October 20 - 3:00pm - 5:00pm - Williamsburg Mercy Family Medicine Clinic - 819 S. Highland St.
  • Thursday October 22 - 3:00 - 5:00pm - Solon Mercy Family Medicine Clinic - 510 W Main St.
  • Friday, October 23 - 10:00am - 12:00pm - Tipton Mercy Family Medicine Clinic - 56 Cedar St.
  • Tuesday, October 27 - 3:00pm - 5:00pm - Kalona Mercy Family Medicine Clinic 503 3rd St.

No registration is necessary. Just show up. Wear a Mask. Just drive up where you see our trailer. Stay in your car. you will be asked a few screening questions if you have had any COVID symptoms or been in contact with anyone who may have had COVID. Then you will proceed forward and be tested in your car. There is no charge for this.
