Authorities in Bremer County are looking for a truck suspected to be involved in an attempted abduction Monday morning. It happened around 11:00am in Tripoli. Two 10-year-old boys were near the library when, they say, an older man in a rusty blue truck allegedly approached them with large items in the bed of the truck. The boys say the man told them he would pay them to collect cans and showed them fake money. Deputies say the man allegedly grabbed one of the boys and let go after one of the boys hit him with a hockey stick.

The suspect is described as old, skinny, bald and missing teeth. Surveillance video shows a possible suspect truck in the area as an early 2000's Chevy or GMC 1500. If you have any information that might help authorities, you are urged to contact the Tripoli Police Department at (319) 882-3400.
