Super volunteer man helps families feel honored

Mt. Calvary Cemetery

Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Cedar Rapids is blessed to have a man the administrators, Pat and Dick Semelroth, have nicknamed "super volunteer man."

Stephen Powers volunteers countless hours keeping the cemetery in tip top condition.

Powers said "this is where people put their loved ones when they pass away. We like to keep it nice for that and in honor of them. So to me it's worth doing."

Powers is retired and serves as the Secretary Treasurer on the Board of Directors for the cemetery. The Semelroth's said he volunteers to lead almost every grounds work project at the cemetery and if it is more than a one man job he will put together a team to get the work done.
