U.S. Considers Attacks in Syria

WASHINGTON, D.C. (CBS2/FOX28) – U.S. officials say the president is now keeping an even closer eye on Syria.
The White House is sending manned and unmanned surveillance flights over the country and is considering possible attacks as they continue to battle ISIS militants in the area.
Syrian officials say they're willing to work with the U.S. to bring down the terrorist group but say the U.S. needs to ask permission before they launch any strikes.
The White House says President Obama believes the group is a significant threat to the United States.
All of this comes as U.S. and British investigators work to find out exactly which ISIS terrorist beheaded an American journalist earlier this month.
