Protestors Arrested After Immigration Rally

WASHINGTON, D.C. (CBS2/FOX28) - More than 112 people have been arrested for protesting U.S. policies on deportation.
Immigrant activists met outside the white house on Thursday; they say they want the President to stop all deportations.
They also asked him to protect the Central American children that are crossing into the U.S. illegally.
The Des Moines Register reports that a group of Iowans did fly to D.C. to take part in the protest.
Before they left, the group said that they were not afraid of being arrested, and that it is simply time to take a stand and fight for what they believe in.
An estimated 2 million people have been deported since President Obama took office and more than 50,000 children have crossed into the U.S. illegally since October.
