Senator Rand Paul Brings Message to Iowa

SIOUX CITY, IA (CBS2/FOX28) - A rumored presidential hopeful is stirring up mixed opinions as he tours the Hawkeye state.
On Tuesday, Republican Senator Rand Paul will be at the Cedar Rapids Victory Office to speak with republicans.
On Monday, Paul stopped in Sioux City to talk about the leadership of our country.
He told a group of Iowans that he thinks the president is petulant and that he can't handle the immigration crisis in our country.
Later, the Kentucky Senator stopped just over the border in Omaha where the battle over what to do in Gaza took center stage.
Paul denies that he ever proposed a full scale bill that would stop foreign aid to Israel.
This comes despite all of his talk to stop sending money to the country.
Senator Paul faces scrutiny for several of his views on foreign policy as he prepares for a possible presidential run.
Meanwhile, there is some semblance of peace in the Gaza strip today (Tuesday).
Today is day one of a three-day cease fire.
The temporary truce was proposed by Egypt in an effort to end a month of fighting between the Israelis and Hamas militants that has left almost two thousand people dead.
On Monday, a seven-hour pause in fighting collapsed after Israel accused Hamas of launching more rocket attacks.
The Israeli military responded with a missile strike that reportedly killed a young girl and injured more than two dozen others.
Negotiations toward a more permanent ceasefire will take place in Egypt.
The U.S. strongly endorses the truce and is urging both sides to respect it.
