Police Brutality Protest in Iowa City

IOWA CITY, IA (CBS2/FOX28) - People in Iowa City are taking a stand regarding this issue.
They will be gathering on the Ped Mall Thursday to hold a peaceful protest against police abuse and brutality.
Organizers say there is a disproportionate number of minorities that are killed by police each year and they believe many police forces in the country have been militarized.
Community members plan to read the names of people who have been killed at the hands of police over the past year.
It’s expected to start at 6:30 in downtown Iowa City.
